Co-curriculum

The most distinctive aspect of a Giggleswick education is its focus on personal development and participation. The school is exceptionally good at discovering and developing individuals’ strengths, nurturing the whole person with a breadth of educational opportunities.

At Giggleswick, learning does not stop at the classroom door and we believe strongly in the benefits of participation across a wide range of activities.

Our extended day and boarding ethos gives our pupils the chance to take part in over 80 clubs and activities every week. From sports to music, drama and outdoor pursuits, we run a daily programme of clubs, clinics and enrichment activities that encourage our students to develop their personal interests and passions, embrace new opportunities and expand their horizons.

While the school always encourages its pupils to be ambitious with their academic outcomes, it also recognises that an education that is based on breadth helps build character. Our Learner Profile is at the heart of everything we do and defines the character that we encourage in our pupils to give them the very best opportunities beyond school.
