Giggleswick School is looking to recruit an exceptional individual ideally with an Early Years degree, Early Years Teacher status or a minimum DfE approved Level 4 qualification in Childcare, those who are currently studying will also be considered.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of exemplary and inspirational practice and a real interest in embracing future trends and developments within EYFS.
 
The Nursery Manager will champion the provision of an innovative and exciting Early Years curriculum and, in supporting the staff through training and in-room mentoring ensure that the execution of it throughout the Nursery is of the highest quality.   In addition, the successful candidate will lead the Nursery in providing care and education for the Nursery children, working alongside practitioners on a day to day basis.

Accordion Theatre Practitioner

Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint a Theatre Practitioner for a one-year fixed term contract with effect from September 2018.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, flexible theatre maker to develop their skills working with 11-18 year olds in a fast-paced, innovative, professional and supportive environment.
 
You will support the curricular and co-curricular work of the department, helping to inspire and deliver a range of creative activities and shows: a willingness to contribute to all aspects of theatre production is essential.  There may be some evening and weekend duties.
The post can be an excellent springboard for anybody thinking about teaching as a career, or it is a good opportunity to focus on developing a range of Theatre Practitioner skills.

The role holder will also have with overall responsibility for the production of the Junior School’s extensive programme of concerts and productions with support from our Senior School Music and Drama Departments.

Accordion Apprentice IT Systems Technician

We are looking for an Apprentice IT Systems Technician who will install and maintain computer systems and networks. They will also educate users on how to work with the computers or software provided optimizing the role of technology within the school.
 
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of computer software and hardware, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for IT, be a quick learner, be inquisitive, demonstrate great attention to detail as well as a desire to help others.

Accordion Database Manager & Examination Officer

Starting Salary:         Between £24,000.00 and £28,000.00 dependant on skills and experience.
 
Contract:                Full time 35 hours a week.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team at Giggleswick School whose role is to support our young people by ensuring effective and accurate management of all student and examinations data and that exam time runs smoothly.
 
You will have excellent organisational skills, high levels of ability and experience in manipulating data and be an expert in Excel and other databases.  Experience of the use of school software systems and exam processes would also be desirable.
 
Our existing Exams Officer will also be in place over this summer to allow the successful candidate the opportunity to learn about the school’s processes without the pressure of sole responsibility’.
