An ability to teach up to and including diploma standard is essential as is a proven ability as a practical musician.

Accordion Minibus Driver

We are seeking to appoint a skilled and reliable Minibus Driver to drive Giggleswick School’s fleet of pupil transportation vehicles. Activities may include, but not limited to; school morning and evening runs, Saturday morning shift, airport collections, school trips, sports travel and other relevant activities. 

 

The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license with a D1 Category and preferably have some experience in a similar role.

 

You will be a good team player but also able to work with minimal supervision.

Accordion Nurse

RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Sister

           

HOURS OF WORK: The nurse appointed to the position will be required to work on a three-week rotation which will include days, evenings, nights and weekends, working a total of approximately 73 day/evening hours and five overnight shifts per three weeks.  Holidays must not be taken in term time or during the INSET days prior to the start of each term. 

 

JOB PURPOSE: The Medical Centre consists of 5 beds for in-patients, an accident room with one bed, a Doctors' consulting room, a day room and the nurse’s surgery plus the nurse’s on-call bedroom.

 

The Medical Centre staff are responsible for the health and welfare of all the pupils.  Care is provided 24 hours a day.  The School Medical Officer is Dr Hilary Moakes who is based at Towhead Surgery in Settle.  The Senior Sister, Miss Fiona Hamilton, is resident in a school property locally and works full time.  At present there are three part-time deputies.
