Pupils entertain at local awards ceremony

George, Maddie, Toby and Nick represented the School at this year’s Dalesman Awards providing entertainment throughout the event which was held at Utopia, Broughton Hall.

The Dalesman Awards are now in their twelfth year. They are aimed at celebrating the people and businesses of Yorkshire, with a particular focus on the countryside. Guests included some of Yorkshire’s best-known faces, including the Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton, the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen and triple Olympic gold medal winning rower Andrew Triggs Hodge.

Head of Instrumental Music, Laura Stott, said “The pupils were magnificent and the organisers were blown away.”

Dalesman Editor, Adrian Braddy, thanked our musicians and commented “They were outstanding and so many people spoke to me about how talented they are.”
