Young scientists have a blast!

Our Reception and Year 1 pupils have been learning all about space. Last week they visited Ms Davidson in the junior school science labs and had a marvellous time building their very own rockets. They explored a variety of materials and, after thinking about weight, durability and shape, they decided plastic bottles would be the most suitable. They decorated their rockets and then learned about the chemical reaction which would, hopefully, make their rockets fly! It was then time for the rocket launch outside and, after adding extra rocket fuel, Ms Davidson managed to send a rocket right up and over the back of the science labs and into the Ghyll field! What a wonderful learning experience!
