All our academic departments are led by an experienced subject expert and all staff are committed to work together to instil in their students an enthusiasm and interest for their subject.
In addition to weekly departmental meetings, Heads of Departments meet regularly with the Director of Studies to review the progress of all students and, by sharing good practice, to focus on ways of working together to improve the teaching and learning throughout the school. Our staff are young, committed and enthusiastic. Giggleswick is committed to in-service training for teachers, where techniques are refreshed, skills are developed and new ideas are introduced. Many of our teachers are public examiners, providing them with first-hand knowledge and experience of the requirements of the exam boards. The school's appraisal system, regular lesson observation and informal feedback ensures that teaching remains of the highest quality.
Classrooms are equipped with all the facilities required to teach the curriculum, including data projectors, smart boards, laptops and other IT equipment.
