All pupils study Physics at GCSE, either as a single subject or as part of the Science and Additional Science program. At A level, Physics is taught to two sets in each year usually between eight and 10 pupils. Pupils have gone on to study Physics, Engineering and many associated sciences at the countries top Universities. In addition, the department runs several extra-curricular activities, open to all ages. The Electronics and Robotics group meet weekly to design, construct and program robots and other novel devices. The department's 10" Schmidt-Cassegrian telescope is regularly used to observe both our solar system and deep space.
