Getting Here By Air

The nearest international airport is Manchester, about 90 minutes by car from School. Other local airports are Leeds/Bradford and Liverpool.

We have a dedicated Transport Coordinator who organises transport to and from Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool airports using our own drivers and minibuses where possible. We recognise that many of our pupils travel to and from school on their own, and therefore our Transport Coordinator is based at Manchester Airport on the main arrival and departure days at the beginning and end of term and at half term. All incoming pupils are given a mobile contact number so that they can report any delays; this ensures that the School can re-arrange transport where necessary. All outgoing pupils are supervised until their flight is called, ensuring that flights are not missed and that they are taken care of should their flights be delayed. There is a standard charge per journey for this service.

Pupils living abroad are advised to make an appropriate connection (e.g. Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, London Heathrow) to Manchester wherever possible. Those flying in from the Far East may like to check Emirates and Etihad flights via Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively, as both of these airlines fly direct to Manchester.
