Getting Here By Road

From Scotland and Cumbria

Follow the A74(M) and M6 south towards Kendal.

At Junction 36 join the A65, signposted Skipton.

Follow the A65 some 18 miles, past Kirby Lonsdale, Ingleton & Clapham.

Pass the Yorkshire Dales Falconry Centre on the right. 400 yards further take the LEFT turn signposted Giggleswick & Settle.

You will see a golf course on the right, and immediately after that there is a junction signposted Giggleswick School. This is a tricky turn – TAKE CARE.

The school will appear on both sides of the road some 200 yards along. The Junior School is on the left, the main entrance to the Senior school is on the right. This road is narrow and winding.

Take this right turn which rises steeply through the gateway.  The School Reception is in the main school building on the right.  There are some visitors parking spaces along the front of this building; alternatively please park in the main car parking area beyond the main building.

From Leeds

Follow the A65 to Settle.

Pass under the railway bridge and take the first exit signposted Kendal, this is the Settle by-pass (still the A65).

Take the first RIGHT turn signposted Giggleswick. Follow this road to the crossroads, go straight across into Raines Road.

‘Eshtons’ playing fields will appear on the left.  Carry on to the T Junction and turn left. After 50 yards fork left up a hill. The school lies in front of you and the entrance is the FIRST right.

The main car park is on the left.  Reception is in the main school building beyond the car park.

From Manchester

Join the M62 Eastbound.

At J18 join the M66.

Follow the M66 to the A56 and continue on to join the M65 at J8.

Follow the M65 to J13 and join the A682. Follow this road to Gisburn.

In Gisburn turn left and immediate right at the mini roundabout and continue as above.

Take the first RIGHT turn signposted Giggleswick. Follow this road to the crossroads, go straight across into Raines Road.

‘Eshtons’ playing fields are on the left.  Carry on to the T Junction and turn left.  After 50 yards fork left up a hill. The school lies in front of you and the entrance is the FIRST right.

The main school car park is on the left.  Reception is in the main school building beyond the car park.
