English Tuition

The main focus of Giggleswick Summer school is to improve the English of all our students. Our teachers are fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language. All students will take language tests on arrival and are grouped in classes according to their age and ability.

english-internalThere is a maximum of 10 students per class. Classes are designed to build confidence and help students to improve their speaking, reading and writing. There are two and a half hours of English language teaching each morning. After this students choose a one hour fun exercise and work in groups alongside their friends so that they can practise their English conversation in a more relaxed setting.

Each week we email a short report to parents which includes their son or daughter's own thoughts about how they are getting on, what they are doing each day, what their favourite activity has been and so on.

At the end of the course, each student is given a detailed final report and a course certificate, as well as a CD full of photos and wonderful memories.
