Giggleswick Junior School

The Early Years' stage is a crucial part of your child’s education. We have well qualified staff and well resourced, modern and safe facilities to ensure that we give your child every opportunity to develop. Our curriculum is centred around structured play and learning, through discovery and exploring. The environment is integral in our learning and we take many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. As the children develop, so does the curriculum. Numeracy and Literacy skills are introduced with fun, exciting and interactive methods. Early reading skills are developed through the use of the Jolly Phonics scheme and our well equipped library.
Children gradually learn independence and staff monitor social development carefully. The wonderful outdoor play area adds to the exciting first experience of school life!

Music, French, trips to the science lab, PE and swimming are just some of the many additions to our curriculum, where the pupils meet other staff from the junior school. An extended day is also offered for convenience.
