It is well stocked, with over 10,000 resources from the latest prize-winning fiction to material to support the curriculum, including a DVD and spoken word CD collection. Pupils and staff can request items for stock at any time; items not suitable for purchase e.g. out of print or periodical articles may be requested from the British Library through inter-library loan. The Library and adjoining computer suites are equipped with over 50 computers, with the latest software, and there is an internet café where pupils can check email and relax with friends.
The Library is open for independent study from 8.30 am until 9.00 pm, including weekends, thus allowing the facilities to be used both for private study and recreation at appropriate times. A group of pupil volunteers help with the general running of the facility.
