In order for supporters from the USA to make tax effective gifts to Giggleswick School, we have joined the British Schools and Universities Foundation Inc.
This body represents over a hundred UK and Commonwealth institutions and enables you to claim an income tax deduction alongside your gift to the School. To help us process gifts from the USA please send a copy of our USA Gift Form with any gift of cash or securities.
Cash Gifts
If you would like to make a gift of cash to the School from the USA we ask that you make your cheque payable to the British Schools & Universities Foundation. Then please send your cheque to the address below, along with our special USA Gift Form. We will then forward this on to the BSUF. All gifts postmarked before December 31st will qualify for current-year tax deduction.

Under separate cover, mail to Mari Hurd a Stock Power executed in blank for each security, along with our USA Gift Form. You should also send a copy of this form to both Giggleswick and the BSUF Treasurer.

To make a gift and take a U.S. income tax deduction, you may make a donation to the British Schools & Universities Foundation (Federal I.D. Number 13-616-1189), a charitable organization approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of their Code. You should express "a preference for Giggleswick School" in your transmittal letter, not on your check which is to be drawn to the order of the British Schools & Universities Foundation. Such preferences are respected by the Foundation but all grants are made at its sole discretion, as required by the I.R.S.
