A Quincentenary is a very special anniversary - one which very few organisations ever reach. Over five centuries, Giggleswick School has stood for the fundamental values of faith, loyalty, service to community and fulfilment of opportunity. These values still shape the School today.
In 2012 Giggleswick School will be 500 years old. The occasion offers a unique opportunity for students, parents, staff, Old Giggleswickians and other friends to come together as one to celebrate the School’s illustrious past and to support its ambitious plans for the future.
To prepare for 2012 the School has gathered together a committee of OGs, staff and Governors. As Chairman of that committee it gives me great pleasure to share our plans with you via this website. As our plans develop we would welcome your suggestions and comments.
No anniversary would be complete without a party, and there will be several opportunities throughout 2012 for us to celebrate and look forward to the future. We hope that you, your family and friends will be part of this very special year for Giggleswick School.
