Yorkshire Dales Falconry Centre
Since the centre’s creation in 1991, it has provided the public a glimpse into the sport of falconry as well as insight to various birds of prey. However the centre’s primary goal is to assist in the re-population of birds of prey around the world. The centre is part of a world wide breeding and conservation programme that hopes that one day, all of the species can be safe in their natural habitats around the world.
The famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail in Yorkshire offers some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in the North of England. The trail is 4.5 miles long (8 km) and leads you through ancient oak woodland and magnificent Yorkshire Dales scenery via a series of stunning waterfalls and geological features.
Deep beneath Ingleborough Hill, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, lies a hidden world which has been sculpted by nature over thousands of years.Imagine a subterranean landscape, beautifully lit, with gushing streams and waterfalls, exotic cave formations, and a huge ice-age cavern adorned with thousands of stalactites.

Bolton Abbey is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales on the banks of the River Wharfe. With just under 30,000 acres of beautiful countryside, over 80 miles of footpaths and ample space to run around and enjoy the fresh air, there is something for all ages. Explore the ruins of the Priory and discover a landscape full of history and legend, wander along the riverside, woodland and moorland paths, enjoy local produce in the excellent restaurants, tea rooms and cafes, treat yourself in the quality gift shops and food shop or simply relax beside the river with a picnic whilst the children play.
Incorporating many areas of outstanding natural beauty Malhamdale makes for a full day of exploration and discovery. The stunning Malham Cove and Tarn a short walks from the village of Malham itself. Featured in the latest Harry Potter adventure this unique landscape makes for an interesting visit for all the family! A haven for climbers, cavers, walkers. mountain bikers, relax in and refresh in the many local pubs and cafes after a hard day on the fells!
The Yorkshire Dales is a fabulous place to go walking whether you are looking for a gentle stroll besides one of the many rivers, or you are looking for a hike on a wild and empty moorland. If you find walking a challenge or your group includes a wheelchair or buggy then don’t be put off there will be something for you! If your navigation is not up to scratch or you are not a confident walker, you can always join a guided walk or take one of the suggested short walks which are based around village centres.
