The CCF faced the weather head on and had a highly challenging day in our annual patrols competition.  Eight teams competed over four tasks; a battle exercise, leadership task, navigation and first aid.  Sixth Form cadets were excellent in their delivery of safety briefs and running of the stands while the Year 10 cadets were very ably led by a robust team of Year 11s.

Lt Col, Contingent Commander Darren Richmond said "The demonstration of leadership and resilience in demanding conditions was superb.  Throughout the afternoon teams were not only highly competitive but they were smiling, driven and fully engaged in the tasks. My congratulations to all of the cadets who took part but particularly to the winners, Team 6".

The team included:

Sect Cmd  Cdt LCpl Nick Simper

2ic  Cdt Ben Soltmann

Cdt Nicholas Peat

Cdt Amber Healing

Cdt Jannika Kreitz

Cdt Seb Goodson

Cdt Lewis Hall

Cdt Santos Orenga de Gaffory

In second place was Team 7, led by Cdt LCpl Henry Guy, and in joint third place were Teams 1 led by Cdt LCpl Katie Clay and Team 4 led by Cdt LCpl Ben Magell.
