AS/A2: Sixth Form

Most L6 formers take four AS level courses and then drop to three subjects at A2 level in the U6.
However, those who wish to are normally able to study 5 AS levels, dropping down to 4 or 3 in the U6.

academic_6thformThe minimum requirement for entry to the Sixth Form is 5 B grade passes at GCSE.  For those wishing to study Economics, Business Studies or Physics, a grade B in Maths is necessary.

We offer a free choice of AS levels and, although this is not guaranteed, we do our very best to ensure that all pupils who have provided the Director of Studies with their choices by the end of March in the preceding year, will be satisfied.

AS/A2 levels are available in the following subjects:

Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Classical Civilisation, Design, Drama & Theatre Studies, Economics, English Literature, French, Further Mathematics, Geography, German, Government and Politics, History, Information Technology, Latin, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Spanish.

Please click here to view or download the Sixth Form Curriculum Booklet.

Photography and Textiles are also offered as AS courses outside  the normal timetable.
