1.Visit us

building

Following your initial enquiry, we warmly encourage families to visit us, as this is truly the best way to experience Giggleswick and gain a real insight into life at the School. From our vibrant classrooms to our stunning setting and supportive community, seeing the School in action speaks for itself.

There are two main ways to visit: you can book a place at one of our Open Events or arrange a personal visit at a time that suits you.

Open Events offer a lively group experience, including guided tours, talks, and a variety of interactive activities across departments, from science experiments and drama performances to music recitals and sports sessions, giving families a broad and engaging overview of school life.

Personal visits, on the other hand, are tailored to your specific interests and provide a more individualised experience.

If you’re unable to visit in person, we are very happy to arrange an online video call with a senior member of staff. This provides a valuable opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the School, and explore whether Giggleswick is the right fit for your child, all from the comfort of your home.

3. Entrance tests

Entrance Assessments and Interview

As part of the school admissions process, applicants are invited to sit entrance assessments in English and Maths, followed by an interview with the Headmaster. These assessments are not about passing or failing, but rather to understand each pupil’s current level of knowledge. This allows us to recommend the most suitable academic support and pathway, there is no need for any specific preparation.

This stage is usually followed by a taster day, giving pupils the opportunity to experience life at Giggleswick first-hand.

Subject Requirements

For certain subjects, especially at Sixth Form level, academic entry requirements may apply. Our Admissions Team will be happy to discuss subject options and confirm any specific criteria with relevant Subject Leads.
