Accommodation & welfare
Students can choose to stay at the school for the duration of their Easter course with our residential option, which includes all tuition, three meals a day and overnight accommodation in a single room. Students also enjoy an evening entertainment programme and 24-hour care and support from our in-house staff.
Students stay in well-equipped and homely boarding houses with girls and boys living in separate accommodation. It's a family atmosphere with live-in staff providing support and care 24 hours a day. Each house has its own common room, TV room, kitchen and private study areas. Any medical needs are looked after by the school's welfare officer, who is first aid qualified. All staff are DBS checked and receive training on child protection and safe-guarding.
Safe village location
Our village location provides a safe and secure environment where children have the space and freedom to explore under the watchful eye of a caring and close community. In a recent inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), Giggleswick was judged to be 'excellent' in its arrangements for welfare, health and the safety of its pupils.
Freshly cooked food
All meals are eaten in the School's modern dining hall with staff and students eating together. Meals are of an excellent standard with our own chefs providing a healthy international menu. Food is cooked on the premises and there are hot and cold options at all meal times. Packed lunches are provided for trips out of school and refreshments are available at break times and before bedtime. All diets and allergies can be catered for.
