Welcoming our New Bursar and Chief Operating Officer

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Morgan as our new Bursar and Chief Operating Officer. 

Gareth joins Giggleswick with extensive experience in both the state and independent education sectors, having served as a Bursar for the past 12 years. Most recently, he was Bursar and Clerk to Governors at The Blue Coat School in Birmingham. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions within the King Edward VI Schools of Birmingham and Djanogly City Academy in Nottingham. 

Before embarking on a career in education, Gareth spent more than 20 years as a Logistics Officer in the Royal Navy, serving in the UK and overseas. His deployments included tours in Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa, where he worked with the European Union Naval Force in efforts to combat piracy. During his service in Afghanistan, Gareth was awarded the Bronze Star by the United States for exceptional meritorious service. 

Gareth joins Giggleswick with his wife, Nikki, and their two sons, including Henry, who will be joining the School in Year 10.  

We are pleased to welcome Gareth and his family to Giggleswick and look forward to the experience, leadership and expertise he will bring to the School.
