A world of opportunities 

Among those heading to university, we are delighted to see one pupil progress to the University of Oxford to study Theology and Religion, while another will begin their journey into Medicine at the University of Newcastle. 

Our leavers will also be heading to: 

• University of Lancaster – Electronic and Electrical Engineering. 

• University of York – Chemistry 

• Durham University – Anthropology and Sociology 

• University of Edinburgh – Philosophy and Theology 

Alongside these destinations, our pupils are pursuing a wonderfully diverse range of subjects and careers, including Media Production, Acting, Politics, Film and Media Studies and Sustainable Land and Business Management. 

Finding the right pathway 

At Giggleswick, we recognise that there is no single definition of success. For some pupils, university is the natural next step; for others, a degree apprenticeship, gap year or alternative pathway provides the right opportunity to develop their interests and ambitions. 

Our Degree Apprenticeship Club, now in its seventh year, continues to give pupils the opportunity to explore routes that combine university-level study with valuable professional experience. 

Whatever route they choose, our aim is to ensure that every pupil leaves Giggleswick with the confidence, skills and experience to take their next step. 

Once a Giggleswickian, always a Giggleswickian 

As our Year 13 pupils leave Giggleswick, they become the newest members of the Old Giggleswickian Society, joining a lifelong community of former pupils around the world. 

They leave with much more than their examination results. They take with them friendships, experiences, confidence and the values that have shaped their time at Giggleswick.
