Musicians and singers of Giggleswick took to the Richard Whiteley Theatre stage last week for a fantastic ‘Night of Musical Theatre' for this year's Spring Concert.

The Orchestra started the evening off with a lively start with movements from Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ suite and the Concert Band performed highlights from ‘Les Misérables’ with additional vocals from Elsa. Lucy and Frederic featured in ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ from ‘Carousel’ sung by the Chapel Choir, and Ben hit the high notes as Nicely-Nicely Johnson accompanied by Schola Cantorum in ‘Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat’ from ‘Guys & Dolls’.

Pedro and Benjy performed stunning solos in the Jazz Band numbers and Phoebe reprised her role as Scaramouche from ‘We Will Rock You’ with a powerful performance of ‘Somebody to Love’ accompanied by the Teen Queens.

Catteral Choir sang three songs from ‘Bugsy Malone’ and the Folk Group performed a lively dance from ‘Fiddler On The Roof’.

There were also excellent performances from the Guitar Ensemble and our 6th Form Rock Band before the curtain came down on the evening with a spirited rendition of ‘Another Day Of Sun’ from ‘La La Land’ which included all the choirs and instrumentalists together.
