Assistant to the Assistant Head Pastoral and will look after uniform, boarding compliance and general pastoral duties. 

Alejandro changed the tropical weather of sunny Colombia for the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. He achieved a BA in Electrical Engineering in Colombia after completing one year of compulsory military training. He then switched the cables to Languages and achieved a BA in Modern Foreign Languages at Universidad de Antioquia, in Colombia. After working as a Spanish assistant in France, Alejandro completed an MA in applied Modern Foreign Languages at the Université de Poitiers and also worked for a Sixth Form College in the same city. Then, he returned to Colombia for a year, where he worked for Universidad De Antioquia and Universidad Nacional, Centro Colombo Americano and Alliance Française as a Teacher of English and French. He also completed the DALF certificate (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française). Twenty years ago, he decided to improve his level of English and one day saw an ad: "Giggleswick School is looking for a teacher of French with some Spanish" and was given the job because he promised to teach staff and pupils how to dance salsa! Finally, he completed his PGCE in Languages with the University of Huddersfield.
