After gaining an honours degree in History from the University of Durham and a PGCE from Lancaster University, Michelle arrived at Giggleswick as a NQT in September 2001. She was an A level marker for Edexcel between 2004-2010 and has written for the Modern History Review magazine. Michelle became Head of the History and Politics Department in 2006 and then became a Faculty Head in 2017 before taking up her new role as Assistant Director of Studies. She has been a tutor in Style and Shute and was also a resident tutor in Carr House for eight years, where she remains a house tutor. As well as coaching netball, she is a longsuffering supporter of Burnley Football Club!
