Oliver graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Ancient and Medieval History in 2013. He spent 7 years at Clifton High School in Bristol, teaching History and Politics, and holding the positions of Head of History and Politics, and Head of Years 10-11. He has actively participated in the co-curricular life of schools, leading educational visits, running enrichment programmes, and coaching hockey, football, and cricket. He joined Giggleswick as Head of History and Politics in September 2021 and was appointed Head of Co-Curriculum in September 2024. He is married to Rebecca, has a daughter and two dogs.
