Co-curriculum

Providing further enrichment and enhancement to our curriculum, pupils benefit from a broad choice of activities that take place each day.

These form a key part of our CAS programme (Creative, Active, Service) that links to our Diploma and Learner Profile. See below for the breadth of opportunities we provide:

All Key Stage 2 pupils take part in our activities programme which runs for an hour each day (4pm-5pm), followed by a 20-minute supported Prep period. These offer pupils the chance to develop or enhance their communication, teamwork and leadership skills, alongside broadening their specific skills set in the chosen area.

Reception-Year 2 pupils have the option to take part in Art, Cooking, Climbing, Dance, Outdoor Adventure and Swimming for an additional charge, and includes a cooked tea.

From Year 3 a wider choice of activities are provided that include Academic and Scholarships, Art, Christian Club, Climbing, Coding, Design and STEM, Drama and Film, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Kayaking, Music Ensemble, Orchestra, Outdoor Adventure, Photography, Science, Swimming, Yoga and Mindfulness, Warhammer and a range of Sports.

Additional clubs take place at break-times that are optional and available to all year groups. These include Chess, Construction, Drawing, Gardening, Library and Minecraft.

Pupils learning a musical instrument will have a dedicated practice slot during a break-time supervised by our Music Teacher to support their learning.

"Giggleswick pushes my children beyond their comfort zone, and we love all the activities and clubs on offer, it exposes them to adventures they might not get elsewhere."
