Life at Gigg
Boarding
At Giggleswick we enjoy a well balanced mix of full boarders, flexi boarders and day pupils which means that your child will make friends with children from the local area as well as from across the country and around the world. They all share a close sense of community with the House system forming a central hub of life, activities and pastoral care.
CASE PROGRAMME
The CASE programme is our focus for co-curricular provision at Giggleswick. It is shaped around a balanced programme of creative, active, service and enrichment components. What makes Giggleswick unique is that these activities are timetabled into the school day that allows pupils to undertake all three strands, which not only develops a variety of strengths, but contributes to a pupil’s wellbeing too.
WELLBEING & PASTORAL CARE
How we look after our pupils at Giggleswick is equally important as academic achievement. Wellbeing is placed at the centre of everything we do. It is embedded into lessons, co-curricular activities, boarding and day pupil life. We believe that looking after a child’s wellbeing, not only comes before academic success, but also lays the foundation on which achievement can be built.
transport and bus routes
Day pupils and flexi boarders travel to Giggleswick from Lancaster, Harrogate, Kendal, Skipton, Ilkley, Leeds, Manchester and beyond. We provide a daily return bus service on eight routes, covering up to a 50-minute drive-time radius of the school.
