Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies delights audiences

Monday 15 May 2017

Years 3 to 6 and staff are celebrating this week after a fantastic production of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies came to a close. The full-scale production was performed to a packed house in the Richard Whiteley Theatre on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May.

Reviewer Jenny Knighton said of the show “Giggleswick Junior School gave a truly outstanding, high energy and professional performance of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies, a truly hilarious play from beginning to end. Jokes were timed perfectly, solo singing parts had clearly been rehearsed to perfection, and it was lovely to see all children on stage for the chorus.”

James Mundell, Headmaster, said “I felt immensely proud of what was collectively achieved and I could see how much the children (and their parents) enjoyed it, which is the most important thing.”

The children also performed to an audience made up of local schools for their dress rehearsal on the Wednesday, making it an action packed three days. Well done to everyone involved.
