Curriculum
We offer both A level and BTEC course options at Giggleswick, alongside an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and our Super-curriculum (academic enrichment).

A levels provide the core academic input for our Sixth Form students. We offer a range of subjects taught by subject specialists in small groups. Students usually take three A levels alongside our academic enrichment programme.
BTEC courses tend to suit young people who prefer a more guided learning experience and ongoing assessment throughout the course. For pupils considering going on to university they will normally be advised to take a suitable A level alongside their BTEC.
"There’s plenty to prep them for life beyond school. Specialist speakers visit regularly to take a deeper dive into subjects and there are weekly careers-focused lectures to spark passions and debate. Pupils take an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) or Gold Arts Award, power up with a Digital Future Ready Programme, take a weekly timetabled PHSE lesson (covering health/wellbeing, relationships, and living in the wider world), well as a range of timetabled co-curricular activities."Muddy Stilettos, 2024
