Gardening Club harvest summer produce
Ben Harris

For their first session back after the holidays our Gardening Club got straight to harvesting the produce that had grown in the allotment over the summer. Harvested produce included pumpkins, cauliflower, broccoli, shallots, and a turnip.

Following the harvest, our gardeners made a new leaf composter so that they can collect the leaves that will fall from the trees over autumn and produce some free and environmentally friendly compost.

Our Gardening Club provides pupils with the opportunity to take some time away from screens, meet people from different year groups and houses, develop team building skills, and learn how to live sustainably.
