Mill House achieves Woodland Trust Green Schools Award
Ben Harris

We are delighted to announce that Mill House has achieved the Woodland Trust Green Schools bronze award. The award aims to encourage outdoor learning and inspire pupils about trees, woods and wildlife. Through the award we have taken part in some fun, practical projects including our ‘Hedgerow Planting Stay and Play’, viewing and recording our visiting wildlife, decorating sticks collected and enjoying being around trees, all while helping the environment and improving our school grounds. We have also been planning and sharing lots of ideas for sustainability for the future.

Under the award scheme, points were accumulated for each of the activities we completed and we have now reached the bronze award. Our ambitions don’t stop there and we are aiming to get all the way to the top and achieve the prestigious platinum award.
