5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Blast off!!

Wow! What a week we have had at Mill House! I am sure you have probably heard the news and we can confirm that it is true, a space shuttle landed in our conservatory!! One of our children said he could hear it enter our atmosphere all the way in Malham. Our children have been selected to carry out a very special mission. A mission which requires a team of astronauts to explore a place which takes a long time to reach. That’s right – the Moon! For this reason, we have been learning all about space and what equipment we need to get ourselves there safely. Our children have been talking about what astronauts wear, eat and how it might feel too travel to space. We have been learning about each of the different planets in the solar system and exploring the differences in regards to temperature, terrain, gravity and air.
