Year 6 enjoy weeklong residential at Caythorpe Court
Ben Harris

Our Year 6 pupils had a brilliant experience on their weeklong residential last week at Caythorpe Court, a stunning Grade II listed former manor house in Lincolnshire set within 65-acre grounds.

All the children thoroughly enjoyed the variety of activities on offer; from rifle shooting which tested individual skill and required high levels of concentration, raft building which challenged pupils to work as a team to design and build a robust and working raft, to trapeze which tested the pupils balance as they climbed to the top of a six metre pole, and ‘vertical challenge’ that developed climbing skills as pupils made their way up a course of suspended obstacles including climbing walls, cargo nets, crates and ropes.

Year 6 teacher, Mr Shaw, commented: “Everyone challenged themselves to complete each of the activities to the best of their ability and it was great to see so many happy, smiling faces when they exceeded their own expectations. They were brilliant ambassadors for the school.”
